Get ready. It’s back.  The Second Annual Dodgeball Tournament.

Relive the rivalries!  The winning team of this year’s single-elimination tournament will get 1/3 of the proceeds and the other 2/3 will go to relief efforts in Pakistan and Japan.  Last year, over 40 Wes teams played and this year, we’re aiming to raise even more.   The more who play, the more who pay.  There will again be a prize for the team with the most creative attire.

NEW THIS YEAR: Consolation bracket! More games for your $$$ and a chance to win a consolation prize!

ENTERING IS REALLY EASY:
1. Grab up to 5 other  Wes friends to join your team.
2. Fill out an online form here: http://www.wesleyan.edu/deans/2013council/dodgeball.html ***BY MARCH 30***
3. You will receive an email by April 1 with your scheduled time of arrival and the official dodgeball rules.
4. Your team’s $20 entry fee is due by the 3rd.

Throw balls at people. Win stuff ($$$). Support relief efforts in Pakistan and Japan.  Have fun and help others!

Apply for Honor Board position — deadline 4/1

Serve on the Honor Board

Wesleyan University, like every academic community, maintains certain standards of conduct, both academic and non-academic.  The Student Judicial Board is a peer-based legislative body which reviews and addresses all alleged violations of the Code of Non-Academic Conduct.  The Honor Board does the same for all alleged violations of the Honor Code.

The Honor Board is now accepting applications from the sophomore class for two openings on the Board for the next four semesters, starting in September, 2011.

All reports of alleged violations of the standards of academic conduct that constitute the Honor Code are adjudicated by the Honor Board.

The Board exists to provide the protection of fair process to students alleged to have violated the Honor Code, to ensure that sanctions are commensurate with violations, and to promote uniformity in the handling of cases.  The Honor Board also serves as a constant reminder of our institutional values.  Please refer to the online student handbook for more information http://www.wesleyan.edu/studenthandbook/3_honorsystem.html

If you are interested in becoming part of this essential component of the Wesleyan academic community, complete the application form, attached to the e-mail from Dean Brown, and submit it to Lorna Scott, at lscott@wesleyan.edu.

Applications are due by 4:00 PM on Friday, April 1, 2011

At Relay, teams take the track to celebrate cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against this disease! Each Relay is different but full of entertainment, activities, food, fun and games for all ages to enjoy. There are also moving ceremonies throughout the event to honor all those who have been touched by cancer.

Sign up your Relay team today! Go to www.relayforlife.org/wesleyanct.  Learn more about upcoming meetings, fundraising tips, and how you can join the fight!
