Important notes to remember:

  • Meal Plans for the semester end as of Brunch on May 14, 2011
  • There will be a shipping kiosk available across from the 1st floor mail window starting May 4 – 13th from 11:30am – 5pm (M-F)  Mail your stuff home!!
  • Don’t forget about Usdan as an alternative study location.  You may reserve one of the meeting rooms if they are available, use the 2nd floor dining bays when not in operation, and the 3rd floor lounge when events are not scheduled!

The Usdan Staff wishes all students good luck during this upcoming finals weeks and congratulations to the class of 2011!!

Come to the Wesleyan Premiere of Precious Knowledge, a new documentary about Arizona SB 2281, which banned the teaching of Ethnic Studies in the state’s public schools.

 SUNDAY, MAY 1, 7:30pm at the Center for Film Studies–FREE and open to the public.

Finally…Dodgeball Tourney Fundraiser Photos

MANY THANKS to the 39 teams from across all class years who came out to raise funds for relief efforts in Pakistan and Japan on April 3!   Thanks also to the teams who did not show but contributed their registration fee for these worthy causes. And thanks to the 2013 Class Council for their good work!

After numerous rounds, We Do Sports defeated defending champs, Off Constantly, in the battle for the final victory and one-third of the proceeds.   Kee Kumbas and Dodgeball Jesus put up a challenging fight against them in the Final Four.    

Many teams stayed to compete in the consolation rounds, and the consolation prize went to Team Gang Bang after a fierce contest against Kurt Lyn.   Rematches are already in the works for next year!! 

Mean Girls was the winner of “Most Creative Team Attire,” and shared portions of their award with The Super Dodge Bros.

Last Day to Withdraw from Classes — 4/27, 5 p.m.

Today–Wed., April 27 at 5 p.m.–is the last day to withdraw from classes for the spring semester.  Talk with your instructor to make sure you know where you stand in each of your courses and where withdrawing from a course will leave you credit-wise, both for the semester and cumulatively.  Consult with your faculty advisor. You need the signatures of your instructor and faculty advisor before you get that of the class dean. If you have questions, don’t hesitate to see Dean Brown.

Foss Hill Movie Night! Fri., 8 p.m.

Dear Students,

The WSA and the Film Board will be co-sponsoring a Movie Night on Foss Hill this Friday. We have contracted a giant 2000sqft screen—the same used for the TriBeCa film festival—and an awesome 4500-watt sound system!

The feature presentation, as selected in a school-wide vote, will be: 

–Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark–

 

So bring your friends and a blanket to Foss Hill where you can be merry with an awesome movie on a beautiful spring evening.  The film will be played at 8PM on Foss Hill this Friday (4/29).
