STUDENT-RUN GRIEF SUPPORT GROUP

(Sponsored by the office of Counseling and Psychological Services–CAPS)

Meets: Weekly–Alternate Tuesdays & Wednesdays

Time: 7:30pm

Location: Solarium (Room 201, 2nd fl., Davison Health Center)

Intended to create a network of support for those who have

experienced the death of a loved one.

Please feel free to come and leave when it is convenient for you.

Apply to be a Fall ’12 Orientation Leader — Apps due 2/13

Orientation Leader:
Orientation Leaders work with Resident Advisors to mentor and guide students during both ISO and NSO. Orientation Leaders also help manage events, including welcoming international students at airports, working at residence hall arrival sites, informational forums and social events.

Expectations: Orientation Leaders are expected to return to campus on Wednesday, August 22, 2012. All Orientation staff must attend training sessions on August 23-25, participate fully during both ISO and NSO (August 26-September 2). Any other commitment during this time period must be pre-approved by the Director of Orientation.

Terms and Benefits:
Period of work: August 22-September 2, 2011      Stipend of $200     Free room and board

Application Deadline for OLS: Applications are due by February 13, 2012 by 5:00pm

Community Meeting about Sexual Violence Prevention & Response

YOU are invited to an open forum and community meeting regarding the state of sexual violence prevention and response at Wesleyan hosted by Alysha B. Warren, LPC, Therapist/Sexual Assault Resource Coordinator and Maggie Cohen, SART Intern. This meeting is an opportunity to reflect on existing activism, and to offer insights about how to address sexual violence on campus.

Environmental Law – VT Law School — 2/9, 12:15 p.m.

Andrea McNight ’00, Esq. will talk about the Masters  and J.D. Programs at Vermont Law School for careers in the environment or the law this Thursday, Feb 9, at 12:15pm in 41 Wyllys, room 114.

Vermont Law School is the number one environmental law school in the U.S., and it also offers a great one year Master of Environmental Law & Policy degree.  

Alumna Andrea McKnight – an attorney and career counselor at Vermont Law School — will explain how VLS grads work all over the U.S. and internationally. Internship and clinical programs prepare students to hit the ground running in their career field.  Find out how to put your values to work!
