Historian Khalil Gibran Muhammad, Director, Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture, New York Public Library will discuss The Condemnation of Blackness: Race, Crime, and the Making of Modern Urban America (Harvard University Press 2010).  Prior to joining the Schomburg, Dr Muhammad was a professor of history at Indiana University.
