Over the last few months, the WSA Cheese Co-Op Ad Hoc Committee has been planning a cheese co-op to provide local, artisanal cheeses to the Wesleyan community. We drafted a proposal, obtained administrative approval, and organized the logistics of the co-op. We are happy to announce that the Wesleyan cheese co-op will launch this semester.
Starting now, you can visit our website to sign up through February 8th.
As a member of the co-op you’ll get two different delicious cheeses (with fun names like Hooligan and Drunk Monk) provided by nearby Cato Corner Farm every other week for the rest of the semester. A share costs 92 points (or Middletown cash), and you can also split a share with one friend (46 points each) or two friends (31 points each). Students will pick up their cheese from Weshop on Wednesdays; the first delivery is scheduled for February 16th. Spread the word to your friends about this great new co-op!
If you have questions e-mail wescheesecoop@gmail.com. We look forward to indulging together in Connecticut’s finest cheeses.
